Former champion Fred Couples holed four birdies over the first 12 holes on Friday to move within three strokes of co-leaders K.J. Choi and Rory McIlroy at the Masters. The 51-year-old Couples, winner in 1993, pushed his score to 5 under to improve his chances of becoming the oldest major champion ever.
